Many shops, retailers and cafés tempt you with clothes, baked goods, flowers, decorations, books, chocolates etc... In the Haco shopping centre, a covered shopping arcade covering 11,000 m², you will also find another huge range of the aforementioned products as well as food, gifts, sportswear, garden furniture and much more! In addition, on the last Wednesday of every month, the market square hosts a large market and every Friday morning, fresh market traders sell everyday goods. On the second Thursday of the month, the market square is the venue for a flea market. The annual town festival ‘Waderner Maad’, which takes place at the beginning of June, is also very popular with both locals and tourists. Throughout the year, Wadern promotes itself with a variety of markets and events in the town centre.

Neunkirchen

The fact that Neunkirchen is a former smelting and mining town can still be seen today in the large blower hall in the centre of the town. The old smelting works area was converted into a modern event venue a few years ago and gives the town its face. Not far away is Neunkirchen's shopping centre: the Saarpark Center. On two floors, the centre houses over 130 specialist shops from a wide range of sectors. The very elaborate and seasonally co-ordinated decoration throughout the shopping centre creates an additional feel-good atmosphere. The colourful selection of bars, bistros, fast-food restaurants and eateries also makes the day a culinary experience!

At ground level, you can always leave the centre outside and linger on the forecourt in the pedestrian zone. The immediate location next to the motorway and the more than 1600 parking spaces right next to the Saarpark Center make shopping so much easier. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 8 pm. The shops are also open on Sundays.
